RALEIGH, N.C. — North Carolina’s top high school swimmers and divers competed at the 2026 NCHSAA Swimming & Diving State Championships, with state titles decided in both swimming and one-meter diving competition.
Athletes qualified through regional meets before advancing to the state championships, where team points were earned through individual swimming events, relays, and diving finals. Swimming events included freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, and individual medley races, while divers competed across multiple rounds from the one-meter springboard.
Diving competition was held prior to the swimming finals, with athletes judged on degree of difficulty, execution, and overall performance across required and optional dives. Scores contributed to overall team standings alongside swimming results.
