Chapel Hill, N.C. — The Hough High School Huskies capped off a perfect 14-0 season by winning the 2025 NCHSAA 8A State Football Championship, shutting out Millbrook 21-0 at Kenan Stadium in Chapel Hill. It marked the first state title in school history.
Hough controlled the game from start to finish with a dominant effort on both sides of the ball. The Huskies’ defense held Millbrook to just 122 yards of total offense.

Ethan Royal (Junior, QB) – Most Valuable Player
Royal was the standout star of the night, accounting for all three of Hough’s touchdowns — two rushing scores and one through the air — finishing with nearly 200 yards of total offense. His performance earned him MVP honors.
